Hat-trick for Gavin

Hudsons 6 Fettercairn 0

Hudsons were back playing football again after a long break due to the bad weather which lasted for nearly two months.

Hudsons had lost the last two games they played and it was a must win game for them to keep their chance a life of challenging for the league.

Fettercairn always proved a tough opponent in the past, but Hudsons got off to a flying start when Gavin Cooper scored just two minutes into the game.

He received a great pass from Callum Valentine, turned his marker and slotted the ball home in the bottom corner.

Fettercairn were stunned and it took them 15 minutes to come into the game.

They almost scored from a corner kick when a striker got a free header.

Ross Graham pulled out a great save to deny him.

Hudsons had a few missed chances themselves to go further in front, one effort from Euan Milne which hit both posts before the ball was cleared out for a corner.

Jo smith scored Hudson’s second in the 30th minute after Scott Ferguson’s shot was saved.

Smith soon added another from the penalty spot after he was brought down by the keeper.

Hudsons played the second half equally well and, in the 55th minute after good movement in the midfield, Ferguson put a great through ball to Cooper and he took one touch and fired the ball home for his second of the game.

Ten minutes later, another great pass, this time by Callum Valentine to Craig Ross saw Craig do really well to make it five-nil.

In the 85th minute he got on the end of Steven Laurie cross to finish the scoring and bag a hat-trick.

Hudson’s defence was solid and gave Fettercairn strikers very little space to cause any danger.

Hudsons really needed this win before they head to play Springers in the League Cup Final this Sunday.

The final will be played at Bervie with the kick off at 1.30 pm.
