Hudsons were knocked out of the Piggins Cup on Sunday (February 2) when they lost out by just one goal to Fordoun Galaxy.
The Brechin side has been in fine scoring form in the league, having netted 106 goals in just 14 games.
Their scoring form, however, was no use against Fordoun as they pipped Hudsons to the semi-final of the cup by three goals to two.
The full league results from Sunday, February 2, for the Montrose and District Welfare league were as follows:-
Golf Inn 3, MCT 4; Picture House 5, Black Abbot 1.
Bervie Caley versus Montrose Athletic and City Royal’s fixture against Marykirk did not go ahead.
The results from the Piggins Cup quarter-final, held on Sunday, February 2, were as follows:-
Fordoun Galaxy 3, Hudsons 2; Northern Vaults 1, Hillside 7.
The league fixtures for Sunday, February 10, are as follows (matches kick-off at 10.45 a.m., unless stated):-
Hillside v Fordoun Galaxy; Marykirk v Bervie Caley; MCT v Northern Vaults; Montrose Athletic v Black Abbot; Picture House v Hudsons (kick-off is at 10:30 a.m.).
There will also be Piggins Cup quarter-final action on Sunday, February 10, with Golf Inn set to take on Fettercairn. Their match kicks off at 10.30 a.m.
Hudsons have been leapfrogged by MCT, who are now league leaders. However, Hudsons are just one points behind and have a game in hand.
City Royal are currently in ninth position with 15 points from 14 games. They are six points clear of 10th placed Picture House.
