Hudsons remain unbeaten

Hudsons 2, Fordoun 0

Hudsons were the hosts to Fordoun on Sunday in a very important league game with both teams so far unbeaten.

From the kick-off it showed that both teams didn’t want to loose an early goal.

However, Hudsons were the more adventurous of the two teams and they had there first chance in the fifth minute when Scott Ferguson received a good pass from Craig Ross beating two defenders before rounding the keeper, but his effort was cleared of the line by Fordoun’s defender.

It was one of few chances in the game. Both teams passed the ball well but lacked composure in the end.

Hudsons took the lead in the 35 minute mark after good passes and movement from the left hand side between Fraser Smith and Aaron Walker.

Fraser finished with a superb strike from the edge of the 18 yard box into the top corner.

That’s how the first half finished,

The second half started the same way as the first half with both teams being very cautious which left the game with very few chances.

Despite this Hudsons felt one goal was not enough and started to push for another goal.

They created three good chances, the first one fell to Scott Ferguson but his effort was saved by the keeper.

Jo Smith then missed an easy chance to add to the scoring when he missed a sitter from six yards.

Gary Southam was next to try his luck but his shot was easy dealt with by the keeper.

Hudsons secured the three points in the 80th minute when Craig Ross put Jo Smith through, allowing Jo to slot the ball home with a great finish.

This was a hard fought victory for Hudsons.
