BRECHIN Vics first friendly of the season brought about a hard earned victory over Arbroath Youths Under-19s by the odd goal in five.

Vic took the lead after seven minutes when Black slotted the ball into the net from six yards out.

Arbroath equalised in the 20th minute with a headed goal from a corner.

Vics regained the lead on the half hour mark with a rare Paul Ross header from ten yards after a corner kick.

It took Arbroath until 15 minutes into the second half to again equalise when their striker was played clear through the middle and slotted the ball past Robbie in the Vics goal.

Vics scored which proved to be the winner twenty minutes from time, when McNaught scored a well worked goal.
