The results from the local youth football leagues for Sunday, December 22, were as follows:-

Under-13s Broughty Ferry Cafe Royale league - Brechin 4, Forfar 1; Broughty 7, St Andrews Colts 0; Pitfour 2, Dryburgh 0; Tayport 1, Ferry 5; Monifieth 0, Dundee West 2.

Under-13s J Clenaghan league - DUSC 3, ACSC 5; Dundee Rangers 1, Fairmuir 9; Riverside 5, Kirrie 4; Celtic 9, Carnoustie 0.

Under-14s D S Rennie league - Dundee West 5, Pitfour 2; Montrose 7, Ferry 0; Fairmuir 4, DUSC 2.

Under- 14s Watson McInally league - Club ‘83 7, Broughty 1; Dundee Thistle 2, Dryburgh 0; Forfar 0, Monifieth 5.

Under-15s G Taylor league - Dryburgh 2, Celtic 0; Riverside 3, Fairmuir 6.

Under-16s W Mills league - Tayport 7, Celtic 1.

Under-17s M N T league - Montrose Vics 1, Kirrie 6; Tayport 2, Lochside 3; Ferry 2, Edzell 0.

Under-19s President league - Montrose Vics 1, Carnoustie 3; Celtic 3. Monifieth 3; Ferry 4, Dundee West 1; Forfar Albion 0, Dryburgh 9

Montrose and District Welfare league

Action resumes in the Montrose and District Welfare league on Sunday, January 5, after a two-week break over the festive period.

The league fixtures are as follows:-

Hillside v @Bar FC; Bervie v Fordoun Galaxy; Golf Inn v Northern Vaults; Hudsons v The Old Bolag; and MCT v Marykirk.

Heading in to the second half of the season, Brechin-based Hudsons are currently sitting top, with 30 points from 11 matches. Golf Inn are just two points behind in second, and St Cyrus sit third with 25 points but have played a match more than the top two teams.

The other Brechin-based team, The Old Bolag, are currently eighth having played 10 matches and secured 16 points from those fixtures.
