The atrocious weather conditions on Saturday forced the abandonment of Brechin Vics’ game against Kennoway due to a waterlogged pitch.
The players deserve great credit for serving up an exciting first half, which was played in continuous heavy rain.
The pitch held up very well, but because of flooding at the home dugout area, the referee had no option but to stop the game.
Vics took the lead on two minutes when King was sent clear to round the keeper and slot into the empty net.
However, Kennoway replied with a quick one-two on 15 and 16 minutes to go into a 2-1 lead.
Vics then levelled on 26 minutes when Whitworth converted a King free kick at the back post.
Vics went on to take the lead on 35 minutes, courtesy of an own goal, before Kennoway completed the scoring on 40 minutes.
The game will now have to be rescheduled for a later date.
Vics are away from home on Saturday, November, 9 when they travel to meet Scone Thistle.
Kick off 2 p.m.
