Brechin Vics were brought back down to earth with a crash after their two good wins as they were thrashed 5-1 by Dundee North End.
Vics could not have wished for a better start when on five minutes Black scored with a diving header from a Ferries cross after an excellent flowing move.
North End came back strongly and Eaton had to clear a header off the line.
O’Neill then produced a good save from a shot from 12 yards before North End did grab an equaliser on 24 minutes with a header from eight yards.
Vics responded however and a good through ball from King found Rausch who produced an good save from the North End keeper.
North End took the lead on 43 minutes with a 30 yard strike which flew into the roof off the net.
Vics again started the half brightly and Rausch shot narrowly over the bar from a Ferries cross.
Brechin were having a good spell and on the hour mark a Ferries diving header from a Black cross produced a great save from the North End keeper.
North End extended their lead on 65 minutes when their striker had an easy tap in from six yards.
Vics continued to try an attack down the flanks but were frustrated with their final ball going astray.
O’Neill produced a couple of good saves before North End completed their scoring on 80 and 89 minutes with two headed goals to complete a miserable afternoon for Vics.
Manager Charlie King will be looking to his team for a positive response on Saturday, September 17 with a ome game against Arbroath Vics.
