Brechin Vics were back in action on Saturday when they travelled to Perthshire to meet Coupar Angus.

Vics dominated proceedings from start to finish but were finding the bumpy surface difficult to master.

It took them 32 minutes to open the scoring when a Henderson free kick from the left found Mustard who headed his first goal for the club high into the roof of the net from six yards.

This seemed to settle the side and they came close on 38 minutes but Steel’s shot was saved by the ‘keeper.

Vics extended their lead on 40 minutes when Henderson played in Dunn who’s cross into the box found Steel who tapped in at the far post.

Half-time: Coupar Angus, 0; Brechin Vics, 2.

Vics went three nil up in the 57th minute when the hard working Ferguson blocked a clearance from the Coupar defence and the ball fell kindly for Dunn who smashed the ball past the ‘keeper from 10 yards.

Their fourth came on 61 minutes and it was Dunn again who scored, this time heading a Henderson corner into the net at the back post from six yards.

The visitors were looking dangerous with every attack, but it wasn’t until the 80 minute mark before they added to their tally, with McKay smashing the ball past the Coupar keeper from eight yards.

Dunn netted his hat trick and Vics sixth when he converted a penalty which was awarded after he was tripped in the box.

The scoring was completed on 89 minutes when an excellent move involving Mustard and Mckay gave Henderson a chance an he slotted the ball passed the keeper from 12 yards.
