Strong start to preseason

Glentanar JFC 1

Brechin Vics 4

Brechin Vics recorded a well deserved victory in their first preseason friendly on Saturday, July 19.

They got off to the worst possible start on two minutes when Whitworth
scored an unfortunate own goal.

Five minutes later, Vics were on level terms when Ross shot home from a King corner kick.

It took until the 65th minute for them to take the lead. King and Ferguson combined with the latter slotting into the net from eight yards.

They extended their lead on 68 minutes when Ferguson squared for Strachan to score easily from six yards.

Vics completed the scoring on 88 minutes when McKay progressed down the right wing before scoring with an angled drive into the corner of the net.

Brechin Vics have a home friendly this Saturday (July 26) against Forfar
Athletic U20s. Kick off is at 1 p.m.
