Brechin City Youths Under-13s stuck with the same formation that saw them beat Douglas last week.
Brecchin took the lead when a fine pass by Kieran Longmuir found Fraser Jamieson’s run from the right, and he advanced into the box before dispatching his shot beyond the ‘keeper.
A second came soon after when Longmuir took the ball first time, fully 25 yards out, and cracked a rocket into the top corner for what is fast becoming his trademark goal.
Brechin were made to pay for several misses when defensive confusion saw Finlathen presented with an open goal which was duly accepted.
With half time approaching, Jamieson drifted in from the right and slotted low into the far corner for his second.
Half-time: Brechin 3, Finlathen 1.
Jamieson went on a surging run to the byeline and his cutback was finished by William Rattray.
Jamieson was the provider again for goal five, working the ball to James Williamson who confidently fired home.
Finlathen were given hope when they scored a clearly offside goal with under 10 minutes to go.
Brechin scored a fantastic team goal when recent signing Calum Mckelvie coolly finished off a fine flowing move for his first goal for the team.
With the last kick of the game Williamson rounded off the scoring with a great strike from the edge of the box.
