Arbroath 3, Brechin City Youths 4

Brechin City Youths under 14s continued their preparations for the new season with a friendly, away to Arbroath, on Sunday, August 12.

In a closely fought match, Brechin took the lead in ten minutes through a goal by new boy Adam Mitchell.

The score remained the same up to half time with chances being created by both sides. Early in the second half, Arbroath equalled and subsequently took the lead through a penalty.

The lead was further extended midway through the half to 3-1.

Brechin City fought back bravely pulling back to 3-3 with a second goal from Mitchell and a well taken opportunity from Zach Walker.

With five minutes to play Adam Michell scored what was to be the winner, to mark his debut with a hat trick.

All players worked extremely hard but the player of the match for Brechin was Tom Barreiro who played an excellent game in the midfield role.

Well done to all the boys - all showed tremendous commitment and worked hard together to gain the win.
