Midland Golfers Alliance
The Midland Golfers’ Alliance finally got the new year under way last week, after missing the two weeks due to the winter conditions.
The first meeting of 2015 took place at Arbroath Golf Links in Angus.
Montrose Assistant Professional Graeme Brown lead the way with a fine two under par, 68.
Tony Lumsden (Monifieth, 8) won the handicap competition with a net score of 67. Shot of the day went to Frank Linden (Muckhart, 8) who aced the 182 yard par three, 16th hole.

Brechin City Youths
Brechin City Youths 2003 squad is holding indoor trials at Brechin leisure centre on Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon for youngsters born in 2003. Participants are asked to take a drink with the. Any enquiries, please contact Murdo Anderson on 07752 992064.
Brechin Vics match against Blairgowrie was postponed for a third time due to a frozen pitch. As all League games in the area were postponed, it is the same fixtures once more for Saturday, February 7. Kick off is at 2 p.m.
