The inclement weather has certainly had an effect on the angling up at Lintrathen Loch over the past weeks. Whilst many anglers have blanked on the colder days, those who have persevered with lures on these days and buzzers and small flies on the better days have had some good catches.

The fish seem to be well down during the early part of day then coming up to about a foot from the surface later on. Nymphs, buzzers and small gold headed flies have taken fish under the surface while Cormorants and various black lures have done well at deeper levels.

The East of Scotland Open Pairs were fished on Sunday with the winners being B. Robertson and A. Ramshaw with five fish for 7lbs 10ozs. Runners up were R. Mather and P. Moir with six fish for 7lbs.
