In another busy week for Parkview Bowling Club, the club are celebrating success from their youth members.
Ross Alexander will be representing Angus, following a recent victory.
A spokesperson for the club said: “Congratulations to one of the junior players, Ross Alexander for winning the Scottish Young Bowling Association District Pairs qualifier leading to Kyale Ross (Abbey) which means that they represent the area in the Scottish finals at Northfield, Ayr on August 4.”
Last Friday, in the Angus League the club visited Fairfield and lost 57 shots to 40.
In the Tayside Ladies, Jodi Allison won her singles 21 -17 against Broughty.
Saturday saw the club play Friockheim in a Mixed friendly winning 59 shots to 58.
Unfortunately this week all the entries in the various Bowls Scotland competitions were not successful in progressing to the semi-finals.
In the Angus Senior League on Tuesday, June 3, the club will play host to Letham. This Friday, in the Angus League, Parkview are on their travels again, this time travelling to face Barnhill and on Saturday they are away to Maryfield in the annual friendly.
This Thursday (May 29) the club host the Bowls Scotland District Five Gents semi-finals with clubs from the area hoping to get through to next week’s finals.
