Brechin Rugby team The BRUCE’s have recently welcomed local butchers’ Bruce Brymers as sponsor of their new red and black strips.

Having recently competed in the Perth Golden Oldies tournament and gained praise for their skills and sportsmanship, they are off again to compete in Inverness this Saturday. In fact the success of this Golden Oldies team has been so well received that it is not restricted to just playing in Scotland, they have had the honour of being invited to play in Reggio Emilia in Italy in February, 2014, before the Italy v Scotland ‘6 Nations’ fixture.

The BRUCE’s training will continue to run over the summer for all those interested in coming along and giving rugby a try - on Thursdays from 6.30 to 8 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. at the cricket and rugby pitches, next to Andover school.

A spokesperson for the club said: “A huge thanks again is extended to Gavin Brymer of Bruce Brymers.”
