Guthrie Castle was the venue for a charity golf and bridge competition on June 10. The event, organised by Dianne Stout and her husband Brian Watts, was in aid of the Indian Institute for Mother and Child and a Refuge for Abused Girls in Kolkata. The event, which was taking place for the second time, was sponsored by Guthrie Castle and EQ Accountants
The Indian Institute for Mother and Child raises money and supports children and their mothers in the poorer parts of India. Dianne, who is a Soroptimist in Dundee, became aware of these causes during a visit to Kolkata as part of her duties as a friendship link coordinator with Soroptimists in Kolkata. Brian and Dianne wish to thank both sponsors for their generosity which is greatly appreciated.
