Gibb wins Ian Cook event

THE BRECHIN and District Darts League committee thanked everyone who turned up to the Ian Cook Memorial Trophy, hosted by the Parkview Bowling Club last Wednesday.

A total of 32 players took part in the evening, which saw some great darts.

This year’s winner was Malcom Gibb, who defeated Simon Porter 3-1 in the final.

There were 180s from Martin Coull, Tim Fraser, Malcolm Gibb (2).

Highest checkouts were: Howard Ward 110, 120 and 161; Scott Strachan 146.

Quick legs came from: M. Coull 18; H. Ward, 18 (2); S Strachan, 14; M. Gibb 17 and 16.

The Brechin and District Darts League raised a total of £134 for the British Heart Foundation and wishes to thank all those who contributed and played in this competition.
