Parkview Bowling Club’s senior league team were victorious in their latest league match against Lochlands.
The side secured a 46 (five points) to 27 (two points) win and were due to host Carnoustie yesterday (Tuesday) as the Brechin Advertiser went to print.
The club also completed the Kirk Cup (triples) event and, after some good ties, the final was contested between Derek Reid and Neil Hutcheon.
Neil, lead Marshall Alexander and Gordon Duncan in the middle were always in control of the game and won 17 shots to nine.
The first round of the Bowls Scotland competitions also took place with Ken Morrison (singles), Scott Stewart (junior singles) and Bert Low’s senior rink winning through to the next round, due to be played this week.
Last Friday night in the Angus League, the team returned from Forfar with a very good win of 56 shots to 36. They host Monifieth this Friday, with the game being sponsored by McIntosh Donald, Portlethen.
On Saturday, May 10, the club were defeated in a at Barnhill by 110 shots to 89. This Saturday, Parkview play at Brechin in a club friendly.
