Lintrathen day anglers find it tough

While we all appreciated the great sunny days of late, anglers out on Lintrathen Loch during the day really suffered.

The fish were not wanting to do anything at all and the few fish that were caught were taken well down on slow fished lures. It was a different story for the evening sessions where good sport was reported with most fish up just under the surface when hatches came on.

Floating lines were doing best with small black spiders and other black or dark hackled flies on long leaders taking most fish. During the last few days when we were back with normal weather, Crunchers and Hoppers were doing well fished just under the surface.
