Arbroath will have the rare honour of welcoming legendary snooker player Ronnie O’Sullivan to the town next month.

The five-time world champion is heading to Shotz Arbroath on May 13 and 14 to perform two exhibition evenings.

This will be Ronnie’s only visit to Scotland in the last decade.

Snooker legend John Virgo will also be coming to perform as well as provide commentary all night.

It will be a ticket-only event with tickets only available direct from Shotz Arbroath in the club or via shotzarbroath@live.co.uk.

Ronnie will be playing a selection of qualifiers, VIP ticket holders and local companies who are sponsoring the event each night.

Ryan and Marc Fleming, the brother duo who own Shotz Pool and Snooker clubs in Arbroath and Dundee, are lifelong snooker fans and said booking a star like Ronnie to perform in their club is “like a dream come true.”

Ryan is also hoping they will get the chance to show O’Sullivan and Virgo around Arbroath and what the town has to offer.
