Arbroath St Thomas swam into third place in the first Premier League match of the year with the help of local swimmer Daryl Pace.

Daryl who was home on leave, was enticed along to compete in the boys 15 and over 100 m backstroke as well as leading on both the relay teams.

Also at the weekend swimmers from the club competed in the City of Glasgow Graded meet held at Tollcross Centre.

It was a fantastic opportunity for the swimmers to gain valuable long course experience and the performances of all nine athletes were extremely impressive coming home with a selection of personal best times and medals.

In the always competitive 13/14 age group Hannah Milne, despite being under the weather, won her 50 m breaststroke heat coming second overall and improving slightly on her entry time. Hannah also gained another silver medal in the 200 m freestyle and won a bronze in the 200 m individual medley.

Laura Milne gained experience as one of the clubs new young technical officials as a metered judge at this event.
