Victory for ladies at Edzell pro-am event

Edzell Golf Club recently held a Pro-Am tournament, which ended with an Aberdeen based golf professional securing the victory.

Greg McBain (Gamola Golf) secured his third win of the season at the event on Sunday, June 16 - his first outright success in Sunday’s Pro Am tournament at Edzell Golf Club.

The leading professional scores on the day were as follows (par 71):-

66 - Greg McBain (Gamola Golf).

67 - Stephen Gray (Hayston); Paul McKechnie (Braid Hills); Graham Fox (Clydeway Golf).

68 - David Patrick (Kingsfield GR); Robert Arnott (Bishopbriggs GR).

69 - Greig Hutcheon (Banchory); Chris Kelly (Cawder).

70 - James McKinnon (Irvine).

71 - Craig Ronald (Carluke).

72 - Craig Mathieson (Falkirk Tryst); Jason McCreadie (Buchanan Castle).

73 - Mark Kerr (Marriott Dalmahoy); Neil Fenwick (Dunbar).

74 - Scott Henderson (Kings Links); Alastair Webster (Edzell).

75 - Christopher Currie (Caldwell).

76 - James McGhee (unatt); Graeme Brown (Montrose Links).

Greig Hutcheon (Banchory) led the Edzell Ladies team to victory in the pro-am event with an 18-under-par net total of 124, a score matched by Sweet Peas team and the Dream Team.

A card countback gave the win to Greig and the Edzell Ladies, represented by Jane Tough, Anne Middleton and Fiona Black.

Sweet Peas team, who came second, consisted of Carroll Gibson, Sarah Terry, Kathleen Porter and professional Paul McKechnie (Braid Hills).

Dream team were third and represented by Jonathon Milne, John Milne, Richard Milne and professional Alastair Webster (Edzell).
