Local charity Angus Arts has announced their next film screening which will take place at The Burn, near Edzell, on Friday, November 15.
In October it was announced that Angus Arts were involved in an exciting new venture, in partnership with NEAT Flicks, which allows films to be shown in rural locations.
This time round Angus Arts will be showing the film ‘Quartet’.
Virginia Aspin, co-creative director of Angus Arts, said: “As regular Angus Arts supporters will know we’ve been most fortunate in the past to host classical music concerts in the magnificent setting of The Burn, so we’re delighted that we’re able to show “Quartet” here.
“The film, which is Dustin Hoffman’s directorial debut, is a warm-hearted British comedy-drama, set in a home for retired musicians and featuring some of the best of British actors.
“We’ll be showing the film in the comfort of the splendid drawing room, which seems entirely appropriate for the film!
“To add to the occasion we’ll be opening the doors well before the film starts so that people can arrive early and enjoy some light refreshments and a drink at the bar, and the bar will also be open after the film so people can stay and have a chat and enjoy the lovely surroundings.”
‘Quartet’, certificate 12, will be down at The Burn on Friday, November 15.
Doors open at 6.30 p.m. with the film starting at 8 p.m..
Tickets for the event cost £5 and can be purchased from Angus Arts on 0791434152, 01356 648669, 01356 670304, by emailing email@example.com or on the door on the night.
Angus Arts is well known for the wide range of arts experiences it offers, bringing top quality theatre, music, puppetry, workshops and other events (now including films) to a rural audience, and they would like to thank NEAT Flicks, supported by Creative Scotland, for making this event possible.
