Members of Laurencekirk Artists’ Society are holding their Fourth Annual Exhibition over the weekend of October 25 to October 26.
Altogether 12 artists, including one from the Montrose area, are taking part this year in what promises to be an exciting and varied exhibition.
The two-day exhibition features a diverse range of subjects and genres, ranging from landscape to seascape and portraiture to flower studies.
And, while most of the work is best described as representational, there is a variety of approaches in a wealth of different media in this eclectic show.
Though it would be fair to say that landscapes predominate, the artists hope that there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
Following on the success of their 2013 charity initiative, which saw £420 donated to local charities, the exhibition will feature a section devoted to ‘smaller works’.
A spokesperson for the Laurencekirk Artists’ Society explained: “The paintings are all ‘originals’ and proceeds from their sale will, once again, go to support local charities.
“All in all, there is much to celebrate and much to enjoy in this colourful, engaging and delightful show.”
The Exhibition runs from Saturday, October 25, to Sunday, October 26, in The Venue at 84 High Street, Laurencekirk.
It is open to the public between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. and admission is free.
