Youngsters, aged under five, who took part and completed this year's Bookbug challenge recieved their prizes from Bookbug at a special awards presentation held at Brechin Library last week.

BABIES, toddlers and pre-school children across Brechin took part in Bookbug’s summer library challenge which saw them read six books over the course of the summer holiday.

An awards ceremony was held at Brechin library on Friday, with Bookbug making a special appearance, to present those children who successfully completed the challenge with their prizes.

Bookbug’s Library Challenge encouraged children from birth to four years to explore their local library and to enjoy sharing books with families and carers.

Children received a stamp for each book read and needed to collect six stamps to complete the challenge.

Bookbug Rhymetime sessions take place on a Tuesday morning 11 am to 11.30 am.
