Bookbugs busy at Brechin library sessions

Bookbugs are busy in Angus and Brechin Library is keen for you to come along and have fun with your baby or toddler at a Bookbug Session in your local Angus library.

Bookbug sessions are fun, free sessions combining stories, songs, rhymes, and play.

Led by professionally trained staff in the comfort of the library, children and their parents or carers join in together singing songs, traditional nursery rhymes and learning some fun new songs too.

Bookbug sessions help develop relationships, language skills, musical skills and motor skills all through having fun and interacting with your child. It’s also a great way to meet other parents and families.

Each library in Angus holds regular Bookbug sessions.

Sessions last for approximately 30 minutes and there’s always time to stay and chat and to choose and borrow books afterward.

Learning with your baby and toddler is so much fun at a Bookbug session.

Children from Brechin’s Bookbug sessions recently took part in the summer library challenge which saw them read six books over the course of the summer holiday.

Bookbug Rhymetime sessions take place at Brechin Library on a Tuesday morning from 11 to 11.30 am.
