After the huge success of last weekend’s ‘Hallowe’en in the City’ cartie race, organisers of the event have thanked a host of volunteers who helped make it a hit.
A spokesperson from BRAVO Brechin said: “We would like to say massive thank you to the army of volunteers who turned up on Friday and Saturday nights to help build and dismantle the track, to our sponsors ALBA Power, Hydrus and Party Time.
“Thanks also to Fred Murray for transport, the timekeepers Stan Thoroughgood and Raymond Mann.”
The group also thanked a host of local businesses including Duncan McIntosh Trailers, Ness Plant and Rosie’s Bakehouse.
Also thanked for their efforts on the day were Ewan and Brian Mitchell, Stonehaven Fireball Association, Tayside Contracts, Brechin Leisure Centre, Scottish Cartie Association, City of Brechin Pipe Band, Lori Ferris and Radio North Angus.
The spokesperson added: “We’d also like to thank all the stewards and volunteers who helped on the day and finally to everyone who turned out to support the event and help us to put the heart back into our city.”
