A Christmas craft fairwith Santa calling in is just one of the tempting treats on offer in the run up to the festive season at the National Trust for Scotland’s House of Dun & Montrose Basin Nature Reserve near Montrose.
The craft fair on Saturday and Sunday, December 3 and 4 from 11 am to 4 pm, is sponsored by Mackie Motors and Renault.
Locally produced crafts including wood-turned items and lovely linens will be on sale throughout the House, while children will be invited to Auntie Sheila’s Crafty Corner – and to go on an outdoor “reindeer” hunt.
Pictures of Santa’s reindeer with their names will be pinned up for the children to find in the grounds and shops at Dun – a checklist and clues will be provided!
The boys and girls can also let Santa know what they would like for Christmas and receive a little gift.
Entry tickets for the craft fare are £1 for adults and £5 for the children’s visit to Santa, crafts and reindeer hunt.
Café Dun will be providing lunches and delicious cakes.
Property manager John McKenna said: “We will be having a very busy and happy time in the run up to Christmas and are certainly looking forward in particular to the children helping Santa find his reindeer in time for their Christmas duties.”
