Brechin’s annual flower show will take place at the City Hall, on Friday, September 9 from 2 pm to 7 pm and Saturday, September 10 from 10 am to 6 pm.
The show and society membership is open to everyone and you do not need to live in Brechin to take part.
Show secretary David Dyker said: “We are always keen to encourage new exhibitors and would stress that you do not need to be an expert to take part.
“Please do not be intimidated by the massive onions or leeks and the superb vases of flowers you see at the show, they are shown by seasoned exhibitors but remember, they had to start somewhere.
“Even if you do not want to exhibit in the show please show your support by coming to the show to see what can be done with some time and effort.
“Who knows, it might make you change your mind and enter something next year.
“Take a look at the download page on our website for the schedule where you might find one or two classes that would suit all abilities.
“Costs to hire the hall keep increasing with the cost to hire the hall coming in at £740 this year so help cover these costs we need as many people as possible to attend the show.”
Some prize winning blooms will be available to the public for a donation after the trophy presentation which will take place at 5 pm on Saturday. Trophies will be presented by Rev Jane Blackley M.A. B.A.
The Society are always happy to accept help during the show.
