St Ninian’s square will host Brechin’s Big Jubilee Lunch celebrations on Sunday June 3.
The bring-your-own picnic lunch is billed as an informal, neighbourly, come-as-you-please affair. Tables and chairs will be set out in the square from 12 noon. The Garden Memorial Church Hall will be open for tea, coffee and juice for those who come along with their picnics.
There will be entertainment at 2pm courtesy of the Maisondieu School Choir and a hamper will be raffled.
The committee behind the event were heartened by the positive reaction from all those approached. The High School, along with Andover and Maisondieu primary schools were very responsive as were local businesses. They are also grateful to Lidl’s for their practical support.
The Big Jubilee lunch celebration received a message from the Queen, who sends her very best wishes and hopes it will be a most memorable and enjoyable event.
