THE BRECHIN Retailers Group are at an advanced stage of organising this year’s “Easter in the City” event that will take place throughout the city centre on Saturday, March 30.
This year’s star attraction will be a display of vintage vehicles that will be descending on Brechin from all over Angus and surrounding area.
Anyone who would be interested in exhibiting their vehicle can contact “Sweets and Treats” in Swan Street to obtain full details.
During the Saturday a coffee morning will be held in the City Hall with the opportunity to enter the “Easter egg decorating competition”.
Throughout the day face painting, a bouncy castle and a puppet show will also be available to entertain families.
Following the success of last years “Easter Bonnet” competition, which saw over 300 entries being submitted, children and adults alike can again showcase their artistic abilities by submitting their Bonnets to the Town House Museum in the High Street where prizes will be awarded for the best entry.
A new addition to the 2013 event is a “Mad Hatter Tea Party” that will take place in the High Street.
Tickets priced at £4 will be available from “Sweets and Treats” in Swan Street or “Les Turriffs” in St David Street.
Also confirmed to take place this year is the return of the highly successful “Harley Davidson in the City” event which will, this year take place over the weekend of July 12 to 14.
The Retailers Group are also busy planning for this year’s Christmas in the City event and are looking for any suggestions on how to improve this year’s lights. For more information visit their Facebook page.
