The Friends of Brechin Town House Museum have announced a number of talks lined up at the museum for the next coming months.
They have also announced an open day at the museum this Saturday, August 29, from 2 to 4pm.
A spokesman for The Friends said: “Refreshments will be available and a video feature on farming in the past.
“Come along for a look at the new Waterson exhibition and discuss it with local artist David Adam.
“Chairman Brian Mitchell is on hand to discuss any of Brechin’s historical matters.”
The first talk in the series will take place on Tuesday, September 1, at 2pm. The talk, entitled ‘Brechin Artist David Waterson RE - A Gallery Tour’, is an exploration of the current exhibition in the museum featuring privately owned works from the David Waterson Trust with local artist David Adam.
Norman Atkinson will be at the museum on Tuesday, October 6, to give an illustrated talk on the Montrose artist and sculptor, William Lamb.
On Tuesday, November 3, ‘Spain - Where Raptors Soar’ and ‘Glimpse through the Cloud Forest - Costa Rica’ will be the subjects for the afternoon. This entails two photo journal talks describing the nature and landscape abroad by Angus based professional photographer and naturalist Mark Caunt.
The final talk scheduled for the year takes place on Tuesday, December 1, and will be given by Rev. R. Graham of Brechin Cathedral, who will give a talk entitled ‘A History of Brechin Cathedral’.
Entry to all talks is free. Talks begin at 2pm and refreshments are available at the Brechin Town House Museum.
