The Friends of Brechin Town House Museum has announced its programme of presentations for the next few months.

The season begins on February 10 when Steve

Nicoll will give an illustrated talk on the ‘The Beatles in Scotland’. This will be followed on February 24 with Andy Malcolm’s ‘Sand in my Sporran, Snow in his Sandals’ which relates to his experience on an exchange scheme in an African reserve.

Mary Liddiard will give her presentation on March 24, which is called ‘The Marquis of Montrose – The Man’ and will look more closely at the personality of this local historical figure.

On April 28, Dale Haigh will introduce ‘Soldiers, Gods and Gardens’ – an insight into 17 century Scotland and how this is portrayed in present day interpretations.

The season will end on May 5 when Rhian Evans will deliver her presentation based on a recent project and entitled ‘The Re-introduction of the White Tailed Eagle to Eastern Scotland.’

These presentations are open to the public and are held in Brechin Town House Museum from 2 p.m. on Tuesdays. Admission is free and tea and coffee will be available during the interval.
