Halloween to be full of events

Brechin’s next ‘In the City’ event will take place over two days with the Halloween Cartie race and Monster Ball events taking place.

Kicking off on Saturday, October 19, the Second ever cartie race will take place, which will this year be bigger and better, with an extended and more challenging course.

Carties will travel from the High Street to Bridge Street and finishing in River Street.

This years Cartie Race is also the last round of the Scottish Cartie Association Championship and this event will decide the overall champion for 2013.

Entry forms are out now and anyone interested can collect these from Bruce Brymer, Butcher, St David Street or from Print Matters on Swan Street or via Brechin Halloween in the City Facebook page.

ntries must be submitted by Friday 27th September at the latest.

Then, on Friday, November 2, there will be a night of fun and frolics at the Old City Club for this year’s Monster Ball.

The fancy dress ball returns for another year in the former undertaker’s premises with entertainment provided by the excellent Fubar band live on stage.

Tickets will be priced at £10 each and will be on sale soon.
