Harley Davidsons coming to Brechin

Brechin’s centre will roar with the sound of Harley Davidsons on Saturday, July 14 when over 200 bikers are expected to descend on the city as part of Brechin Retailers’ “Harley Davidson in the City” event.

Riders from the Harley Owners Group, who will most likely been joined by other bikers, are expected to ride into Brechin in the morning before driving out of Brechin in a procession when they head to Netherton for the grand opening of the The Davidson Cottage.

The event, which is still in the planning stages, will see local retailers providing entertainment for what is hoped to be an annual event.

It is hoped that the bikers will be able to park their bikes on either side of Clerk Street, or Panmure Street, with as little disruption to public transport.

During the lead up to the event, and during the day itself the retailers of Brechin will create themed windows and it is hoped to have bunting decorating the street.

Netherton Cottage are holding a party in the evening with bands including Uniforms, Brothel Corpse Trio and Snappin Turtles.

The group has also named dates for future events with “Halloween in the City” taking place on Saturday, October 27 and “Christmas in the City” taking place on Saturday, December 8.
