Not long now until the mid term holidays.
Brechin Library has plenty of books for you to enjoy while you are off and if you have a school project to do over the holiday staff hope that they can help you with books from the junior non-fiction section.
Story Time: Enjoy hearing a story or two? In that case, if you are under five, why not pop along to the library on a Tuesday morning from 10am to 10.30 am and listen to some stories told to you by a member of staff.
Bookbug Rhymetime: This takes place every Tuesday morning from 11 am to 11.30 am during term time.
“We have lots of fun singing songs and rhymes using puppets and musical instruments, sessions are open to all under fives,” explains a staff member.
National Libraries Day: Saturday, February 4 is National Libraries Day and the library is staging a special Bookbug session that morning from 11 am to 11.30 am. Staff are especially looking forward to seeing dads and grandads pop along to join in the fun.
“We would also like you to come in and fill in one of our red hearts telling everyone why you love Brechin Library,” adds the staff member.
Chatterbooks: The next Chatterbooks meeting is on Tuesday, February 21 from 4 pm to 5 pm. If you are between eight and 12 years old and would like to join this reading please speak to a member of staff.
BAM (Books, Art, Music): If you are aged between seven and 12 years why not pop along and join Leah for an hour of fun with books, crafting and music.
BAM sessions are held the first Saturday of every month and the next session is Saturday, February 4 from 2 pm to 3 pm.
Remember to tell staff about any books that you have read even if you didn’t enjoy them. This let’s them find out about what you like to read and they can pass on your comments to the librarians who choose the books for you.
