Junior library

AS THE nights draw in, Brechin Library has various activities to keep youngsters busy.

A spokesperson explained: “It’s hard to believe that the tattie holidays are now over and we are heading for Hallowe’en, Bonfire Night and then Christmas.”

Groups which meet at the library include Bookbug Rhymetime. The weekly sessions take place every Tuesday morning from 11 to 11.30 a.m. during term time.

The spokesperson went on: “We have lots of fun singing songs and rhymes using puppets and musical instruments. Sessions are open to all under fives.”

Chatterbooks caters for those aged between eight and 12 years. Everyone in this group is invited to come along to Brechin Library to join the monthly group and to chat to other boys and girls and library staff about your favourite books. Juice and biscuits are provided. The next meeting is on Tuesday, November 13, from 3.45 to 5 p.m.”

At the Storytelling Group you can enjoy listening to stories and experience arts and crafts at Brechin Library on Thursdays from 1.30 until 2.45 p.m. It is open to all.”

If you are in primary three to primary seven you are invited to come along to a ‘Night in the Library’ on Wednesday, November 7, from 5 until 6.30 p.m.

You will be able to enjoy spooky stories, craft activities and hot chocolate. Pajamas are optional!
