Ken McClure attends Angus reading group

Brechin book-lovers are invited to the third annual Reading Group Day in Angus, at Carnoustie Library on Saturday (June 1) from 2 to 3.30 p.m.

Guest speaker on the afternoon will be renowned medical crime writer Ken McClure.

Ken is the internationally best-selling author of medical thrillers such as The Lazarus Strain, The Gulf Conspiracy and Eye of the Raven.

His is informed by his background as an award winning scientist with the UK’s Medical Research Council and has earned him a reputation for the chilling accuracy of his predictions.

The afternoon event is open to all readers including current book group members as well as those wanting to join a local book group.

Book groups are known to increase people’s enjoyment of reading by opening up reading choices and offering opportunities to share reading experiences. They are also a great social activity.

Book group members will be able to discover how the library service in Angus can support their reading. Potential book group members can be put in touch with their local groups.
