Hospitalfield House will be participating in Angus Heritage Week 2014.

Building owners and event organisers have just days left to get involved with Angus Heritage Week.

This year, Angus Heritage Week will take place from September 5 to September 12, with the annual Doors Open Days event being held on September 6 and 7.

If you’re part of an organisation or group that is passionate about local culture and heritage and you wish to promote it, or if you’re involved in a local heritage project, then why not organise an event during Angus Heritage Week. Alternatively, if you have a fascinating building or garden that you’d like to showcase, consider including it in this year’s Doors Open Days programme.

Doors Open Days is co-ordinated nationally by the Scottish Civic Trust and contributes to European Heritage Days, which sees over 25 million people take part in activities and visits. Angus Doors Opens Days allows members of the public to see inside buildings that may not normally be accessible, providing the opportunity, free of charge, to experience not only cultural and historic buildings, but also some unusual and contemporary buildings, as well as gardens and open spaces.

Angus Heritage Week, in association with Doors Open Days, is the ideal time to highlight your venue or organisation and any activities you are involved in, and to showcase the rich culture and heritage of the local area.

This year’s programme will be launched in the summer. If you’d like to help make Angus Heritage Week 2014 a success please contact Millie Clarke on 01307 473262 or by June 27, to ensure inclusion in the programme.

Last year the popular Angus Heritage Week programme featured a variety of events including talks, guided walks and tours, children’s activities, music events, exhibitions and open days.
