BRECHIN girl Liz Allison will shortly be graduating Bachelor of Design with Honours from Robert Gordon’s University in Aberdeen.
Her degree show, which opened at Grays School of Art last Friday, focused on tea.
Liz learned the art of laser paper cutting to create an impressive teapot and cup poster which told of the benefits of tea.
She also found a way of printing text and photos on teabags and designed a phone ‘app’ for finding tearooms and the chosen tea for various ailments.
Liz created her own brand TeaTotal and printed a series of tea-tote-bags and framed paper doilies to sell at the fair.
Lastly Liz compiled a little illustrated book of her best tearooms, including a photograph of her pouring a cup of her favourite beverage.
Her exhibit proved popular with visitors, particularly the mums!
The RGU degree show runs till the weekend, after which Liz goes with colleagues to London to attend a week-long young designers forum.
