Mulled wine and old photographs will be on offer in Brechin Town House Museum on Saturday, December 10.
In support of the endeavours of local traders during the ‘Switch on Brechin’ event, the Friends of Brechin Town Museum are organising an informal presentation of old photographs that have been recently collected from local people.
Chairman Brian Mitchell reported that between fifty and one hundred photographs had been collected and scanned over the last few weeks and these were being compiled into a slide show.
“People are invited to come along any time between 2 pm and 4 pm to enjoy a cup of mulled wine, some nibbles and view the images.
“There will be a running commentary on the photos but people can come and leave as they wish.”
At the same time, visitors to the museum will have the opportunity to see the ‘Old Skool’ exhibition currently on display including numerous class photographs from local schools going back many years.
The exhibition also features a mock-up of a class room, beautiful hand written books and school medals.
Brian continued: “Individuals can have a look to find faces from their childhood or that of their parents or grandparents... as well as some old teachers. The kids might get a laugh!”
