New Christmas lights planned for Brechin

Christmas in Brechin should be brighter this year with plans afoot to replace faulty Christmas light displays.

The community has agreed to provide £5,025 to allow faulty features to be replaced and a donation from the Common Good Fund to the same value will be given.

As with last year only one Christmas tree will be provided by Angus Council and will, this year, be located at St Ninian’s Square rather than in the High Street.

To compensate for the loss of the one on the High Street discussions are ongoing with building owners about the erection of extra features in the street.
