There is a chance to solve this and many more intriguing mysteries on Saturday, May 19 when the Glenesk Folk Museum invites people of all ages to play ‘I Spy in The Museum’. Part of Museums and Galleries Scotland’s Festival of Museums, sessions, created by lively Glenesk charity Angus Arts, run from 12pm to 2pm or from 3pm to 5pm.

People of all ages can join in, with detectives under 8 years old accompanied.

Tickets are £3.50 per participant, with museum entry free.

There is also a chance to befuddle others by making your own curious clues and marvellous mysteries.

The Glenesk Folk museum is housed at The Retreat, nine miles up Glenesk off the B966.

It has a superb display of glen life over the centuries with reconstruction rooms, children’s dressing up and fascinating artefacts, many of national significance.
