Activity providers are being sought to take part in this September’s outdoor events festival organised by Angus Autumn Adventures.

Held over the weekend of September 7 to 8, the festival will showcase the best of outdoor Angus, with special events and offers taking place throughout the area.

The highlight of the weekend-long festival will be an open day at Monikie Country Park, organised in partnership with the Angus Council Countryside Ranger Service, on Sunday, September 8.

During the day there will a number of taster sessions on offer, from windsurfing and sailing to high ropes.

To ensure that the festival provides as wide a range of activities as possible organisers are appealing to outdoor activities providers who would like to be included in the programme to offer an introductory session, special offer or event over the course of the weekend.

There is also the opportunity to offer an activity or demonstration at the event held at Monikie Country Park

“Angus has a spectacular natural environment offering activities for all the family with no need to travel vast distances to go mountain biking, hiking, walking or sailing. Angus Autumn Adventures is a chance for everyone to enjoy our great outdoors so lets work together to showcase the best of the county,” said councillor Mairi Evans, spokesperson for tourism.

Last year the popular Angus Autumn Adventures programme was launched and featured events including horse riding, nature walks, wild camping, tank driving and canoeing, attracting both the local community and visitors to the area.

From the magnificent scenery of the glens to the imposing cliffs and shoreline, there is no better place to sample the great outdoors.

From learning new skills to high adrenalin experiences, the organisers want the programme to be full of activities for everyone.
