Pageant appeal

With the Brechin Pageant only four weeks away, members of Brechin Round Table would like to appeal for anyone still wishing to take on a stall to contact Andrew Milne, the pageant convener, as soon as possible on 07715702196 or email

There will also be an opportunity to purchase raffle tickets, with the proceeds going to raise funds for the Christmas Light.

“We hope that this will be well supported by all, ” explained Rotary spokesperson.

“This year Round Table is pleased to announce a change in tradition.

“Along with the Pageant Princess we have also chosen a Pageant Prince from Brechin High School.

“Congratulations go to Lyall Milne and Emma Ferguson as Prince and Princess, with Corrie Robb and Chelsea Donald as their attendants.

“Well done to all four on their selection, and we look forward to seeing them participate in the pageant.

“ This year, as a new attraction, the Youth Bytes Bus will also be making an appearance.

“The bus provides youth information, support and advice from the Youth Bytes team and external agencies and organisations interested in providing relevant services to young people who, for a number of reasons have had little opportunity in the past to access such services.

“We look forward to the continued support from the people of Brechin and surrounding area on Saturday, June 4, at the public park. Lets hope the weather will be kind.”
