Brechin is all set for the roar of motorcycles as they descend on the city for the second ‘Harley Davidson in the City’ event being held tomorrow (Saturday).
Organisers have now released details of the free parking arrangements available to the many visitors that are expected to arrive by car over the weekend.
Parking will be available close to the city centre as well as on the outskirts where a park and ride facility will be operating.
Vehicles arriving from the north of the town can park at Glebe Park football ground thanks to the generosity of Brechin City FC. This is just a short walk from where all the action will be taking place.
If entering the city via Montrose Street, parking will be provided in the old station goods yard off Scott Street. This area has been made available thanks to Carnegies and is just a short distance from the city centre.
Disabled parking has been provided by Lidl in their car park, where a minibus with wheelchair facilities will run a shuttle service to the town centre when required.
Vehicles entering from Forfar and Dundee are encouraged to use the free Park and Ride facility that will be situated between the Brechin Castle Centre and Brechin Business Park. A regular bus free bus service will ferry visitors to and from the town centre for the duration of the event.
Clear signage will be provided to direct traffic to these parking facilities and on site marshalls will be on hand to assist.
