Pictavia visit

The European Free Alliance Group of MEPs, including local MEP Ian Hudghton, last week paid a visit to Pictavia at Brechin as part of a series of study visits in Angus and Aberdeenshire.

The EFA Group forms part of the fourth biggest political grouping in the European Parliament and includes the two SNP MEPs. Along with their team of Brussels-based researchers and advisers, the group members were welcomed by Iain Somerville who gave a very informative and interesting guided tour of the exhibits which highlight the fascinating story of the Picts who inhabited Scotland even before the Scots.
