Positive photos of Brechin

The City of Brechin and District Community Council is eager to engage with young people in the community to seek their views regarding issues in their area.

Based on an exercise in 2003 called ‘The good, the bad and the ugly’ they would like to encourage young people to submit photographs on what they see as the positive things in the City and things that need to be changed and invite all organisations to take part.

This information will be collated and presented to local councillors and the community council to form an action plan, which will be fed back to young people.

In addition to the presentation to the councillors the photographs will be displayed in the Damacre Centre and library.

It is advised that if people are in the pictures that their faces are not visible. Any pictures submitted where people can be identified will not be used.

Pictures can be submitted via email to brechinpics@yahoo.co.uk from now until the September 22 and it is encouraged that all young people, S1 upwards, to get involved.

If you would like Wendy Coutts, engagement Group leader, to come and talk to your group about this project or need further information please do not hesitate to contact her at wendycoutts@rocketmail.com or by phone at 07745700425.
