Return of the Pageant

Brechiners are set to welcome the return of the Pageant this Saturday (June 7), following its one year absence.

BRAVO Brechin, along with local businesses, community members and groups have been working hard over the past year to organise the return of the Pageant, which will take place in the public park.

The pageant committee plans for the event are almost complete with the event incorporating a ‘Commonwealth Games’ theme.

Locals will no doubt be pleased to see the itinerary for the day includes a walking procession, which will leave from Glebe Park at 12.30p.m. It will then follow a route along Trinity Road, Clerk Street, High Street, Union Street, Southesk Street, Park Road and Park Place arriving at the Public Park at around 1 p.m.

Sports and games will take place in the main arena throughout the day.

BRAVO Brechin spokesman, Mark Taylor, explained: “This is another exciting event for our local area, and once again we call on the members of the public to support it in the same loyal manner as they have done in past years.”
