Royal drop-in day

ANGUS Archives will host a tea party to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee this Friday.

Pop along and explore material from across the archive’s collections reflecting on all things royal, from medieval royal seals, a splendid Mary, Queen of Scots charter to a delightful photograph of a very young future Queen Elizabeth, coupled with artist William Lamb’s first hand account of playing tea parties with the future monarch.

Explore how Angus schoolchildren celebrated the Coronation and flip through the Arbroath Herald Souvenir Coronation edition.

If you have not visited Angus Archive before, this an excellent opportunity to come along and discover the heritage resources held for the whole of Angus.

Tea and coffee will be available in our best china during the day between 10 am and 4 pm.

If you require further information, please contact Angus Archives on 01307 468644 or email angus.archives@angus.gov.uk
